Is there any kind of herbal medicines or prescribed medicines that will heal most of the symptoms?
No cure in fact it's called an orphan disease cause as I was told their is not enough people in the world that have it so they do research on more heard of diseases. I was diagnosed 15 years ago n I was lucky my doctor had two other patiences with this illness so he kinda new a little something about it he pointed to his head n said whatever's going to make u happy. I wuz confused n he said my body will probably look like a railroad track I was really confused but not anymore he wAs a great doctor but after 3 years of going to him he retired. I was so lost I won't bore u with my story I will just some it up. I been to 15 or more dermatolists they r the worst stood far away from me not one of them gave me a gauze pad.
I had my groin cut out by a cancer doctor cause it was so bad they told me to sit in a bath for 6 hours a day up to my neck for moist heat so I did for 2 years it kept the swelling down now I hate the bath but when my flare ups get bad I sit in the bath couple of hours I put in hibiclens antiseptic n Epson salt n Black Sauze aka ithtammol ointment its a drawing Sauze my dad used to put it onme when I got splinters it's soothing I love it but it does smell like tar I leave it on bout 1 hour before bath n sit in the bath with it on. Or sometimes I put a little on then gauze n go to sleep. I was told they don't do the groin surgery anymore cause they the doctors realize it will eventually come back as I found out but for years I could walk kinda normal without hs. When I was first diagnosed my sister went on the internet she's a medical tech. It said black women who r very obese usually get this diastase. N all it was were people showing gross pictures of their body's with hs n complaining it made me feel worse so for years I suffered alone I'm glad now theirs support groups. I just read that this illness lasts for atleased 4-5 decaides isn't that nice. Ok told u about the bath now what I think works sort of is Clindamyacin 300mg and Bactrim. They r both antibiotics I wuz on them for a couple of years. Then that doctor disappeared my doctor now like most don't think it's a good idea to live on antibiotics ,so the best thing is a primary cars doctor so they can write antibiotics pain meds their a must every three months I go to my dr n I ask him for the combo of antibiotics he doesn't want to give them but he does now Bactrim is a secondary antibiotics cause sometimes u can get a bladder infection n swelling of the gums if on antibiotics for long time. And of course sorry to tell u if u don't have depression already u will get it cause of these disease but that's what prozacs for I've been on it 6 months after getting the illness cause my first doctor told me that I don't want to face reality n that's y I wanted to sleep all day. U no I'm not gonna lie I still have pity party's with me as the guest but it's hard let me tell u I now can take so much pain it's amazing I guess after all these years I kinda sorta got used to the pain. For years I washed with antibacterial soaps tea tree oil wheat grass my husband brought me to put on the hs all these freak in years and I still have it so I wash under arms groin butt wit heibiclens the rest of my body I wash with sweet pea from bath n body because I finally understand what my first doctor wuz talkin about he was to nice n didn't spill the beans on how hard this illness is I found out for myself ain't nothing gonna cure us try a little to enjoy life easier said what I mean is no special diet or medicines r gonna take it all away I found out the very hard way so I a share it with anybody wit this illness. Also hot really hot compresses and there's something makes me feel better n makes my skin look better I don't care what anybody says this works Queen Helene Mint Juliep Mask it's the oldest mask on the market I put it from face all over underarms groin butt back of neck let it dry I usually sleep with it on it gets on the sheets but comes out in the wash wal mart used to sell into more so I go to a beauty supply Sally's
If I could help u anymore let me no
Definitely no cure, but watch the news for what is happening with Humira in the UK. I personally came a long way by taking turmeric and zinc capsules every day, and I manually clear tunnels every day of debris (ONLY if they are not swollen, and ONLY if debris freely flows); if debris doesn't freely flow, and too much pressure is added, a new boil might begin, so I am very gentle. A very important took in my arsenal is Ertazco, a fairly expensive but extremely effective anti fungal that is applied in very small thin layers on skin that is in moist environment, such as under breast or in crease of inner thigh. Finally, after manually doing any work, I spread a gel ointment that is specifically meant to fight staph infections including MRSA, because our open wounds are highly-susceptible; it is called Mupirocin.
I have also discovered that there is an early-warning sign of HS for me in my inner-thigh area that looks like tiny blackheads, and when I look at photographs of HS, I see a minefield of these black dots. Once a week, I try to roll my finger beside and under them to express the content, and it's like a little worm shape comes out. Off-white in color, with a little black head. If you smell it, you realize that this is the stuff that turns into pus, because it smells wretched.
With all of these medicines and efforts, I APPEAR to be in Stage 1, even though I'm not (I will always be in the stage I'm in or I will advance into a worse stage; that's just how this works right now).
The sad part is, this is an "orphan disease" because it's not being studied in great depth, and yet there are HUGE numbers of people in the population who have HS who are too embarrassed to discuss it with their doctor, or their doctor is untrained and the patient remains undiagnosed. I don't recall the numbers, but it was staggering, the estimated number of individuals in the United States alone who suffer so deeply from this as-yet incurable disease.
