I was on lithium therapy back in the late 90s. It had the opposite effect on me. I was a walking zombie, I guess I didn't care if I slept or not. I remember getting stuck for blood constantly because they wanted to keep the levels at the correct point. Finally, the Dr and I decided it wasn't for me. Don't let this change your therapy though without talking with your Dr. Mine says that Lithium is the Gold standard for Bipolar, but we are all different. Most likely, your dose needs adjusting or the times of day you take it may need to change. Tige
