i just started on metformin on wednesday i take it twice a day.
would love to here from other people
hi LULUBOOP - I'm a new diabetic (4 months) and have been on Metformin about two months now. I take 500 mg with breakfast and 1500 mg with dinner. It has helped greatly - my levels are down to just about normal. I think the diabetes was really affecting me long before it showed up in my labs as I'm feeling much better now. Remember it may take some tweaking, and steady monitoring of your blood sugar levels to find the right balance for you. I've been afraid for many years about getting this disease (it runs in my family and I'm 300 pounds and have a big sweet tooth). So far it's been a blessing - I'm eating much better - still not perfect, I feel better than I have in a long time, and I've lost 25 pounds in 4 months. If I can do anymore to help just let me know. -
I had that too. Ask your Dr about Glyburide. Also..exercising every day helps! I've lost 40 lbs in about 6 mo.I have almost quit my sug. Med I keep it check . Lot of foods like bread & taters watch UR crabs. Just because a food say sugerfree it may have natural suger like fruit n can will but look most a whole can has 30 to 40 grams of natural suger . HOPE THIS HELP GODBLESS
