Hi, I just got prescribed tramadol/Ultram. Does this med compare to methadone in any way?

not at all!!! Tramadol has the pain killing strength about equal to Tylenol #3. It also for some reason is not classified as a opiate. Although tramadol is extremely adictive and comes with all the withdrawls and abuses that come with any other opiate. It is a relatively weak pain killer and is not even close to methadone..Hope this helps... Dave
