... is January of 2019, I have had 4 yeast infections but I feel as if they don’t always go away completely because they keep coming back and I am not sure why? After going to my ob/gyn he said i need to try to cut back on sugars and carbs and see if that helps but I just got done taking my pill for this last yeast infection on the 3rd and it is now the 13th and my itching has gone away for the most part, although I still itch every once in a while but I am still getting the discharge. I’m about to start my period in a few days and I know you get discharge before your period but this is not my normal discharge. It’s more of a yeast infection like discharge! Help please.
Not only cut back on sugars and carbs ALOT of things can cause yeast infections , antibiotics , they decrease the amount of Lactobacillus which is the good bacteria in the vagina , pregnancy (doubt your pregnant), uncontrolled diabetes, weak immune system, hormonal imbalance near your menstrual cycle ( which you already appeared to have mentioned) , stress, lack of sleep, bubble baths , non cotton underwear , scented soap , or if the soap gets inside you on accident , scented laundry detergent , not changing your pad , tampon frequently enough , lots of things.
