i had a lumpectamy instead of a masectomy pls excuse spelling my surgeon told me that all the cancer was successfully removed and i only had to go through radiotherapy not kemo i was told i had the her2 gene and a very agressive cancer so i was prepared to go through with this then i had to see an oncologist who said the surgeon was a fool to say this and he scared me in to kemo therapy this i did for 4 cycles and was told thats it now its radiotherapy i came home from my last cycle of kemo then got a call from my nurse at oncology saying that she had made a mistake and that i now have to go through the herceptin treatment for the next 12 months after reading up on this treatment it seems to be ther same as kemo with all the same side effects and more but it only interrupts the her2 gene not stops it so why go through it
