... 6 months to see if its an infection or a fluke before doing any further tests? Should i look for another doctor? While waiting i found old paperwork saying that i had high ferritin levels as far back as 1997. I am now 50 & VERY concerned. I was told i had iron poor blood & would have to take iron for the rest of my life. I can skip a few days & feel ok but if i go longer i can barely function due to fatigue. Please help
I found a lot of information and it conflicts with your Dr's. method of treating it. I don't understand how it is you need iron. Here's a link that will give you answers:
