Falls Asleep. I've been taking Quetiapine for a Couple months now to help me sleep because how bad my Depression is and just by taking Quetiapine I now longer feel safe and get much rest as needed.
Porcsha; That is great they use this medication a lot for this reason. Sleep is a real problem for lots of people thanks for posting this to give others hope and help. As always what works for one is not always the best for another. Many try several different ones before they find the right one. sure helps work things out when you at least get your rest. Good luck to you. Chuck1957
Seroquel works really well for bipolar.
They will start you off at a lower dose and Increase you slowly.. about 25 mg to 50 a month depending how much you will need. I have been it for about 7 years now. And it made me extremely tried when I got up to 2 3 hundred mgs at time.. if you can get past the sleepiness in the first 45 min and don't fall asleep u will fell much better. I didn't mind at night I would take it about 30-45 min before I was gonna go to bed and I was out..
But during the day it can be a little more challenging.if u take it twice a day. If u take it once a day take it before bed for sure.. but it can be done Hun hold in their.. it will get better. It works well and has a very long shelf life in the body.
I was taking Seroquel and then Remeron.
The problem I had was the side effects.
I was desperately sleep deprived and they made me drowsy but not enough to sleep.
What it did do was make me ravenously hungry!
I also had orthostatic hypotension .
I kept getting up to get food and I was so out of it I forgot to go slow when standing.
I had so many night-time injuries and I finally thought I looked fat so I weighed myself ... 34 lb/2-1/2 months !
Now I'm doing my best on Ambien 10 mg, trazodone 100mg, OxyContin 10mg and Flexeril at times.
Doing well now... lets see how long it lasts! Lol
Good luck to you :)
