... addict. I am planning on going cold turkey, ANY suggestions on vitamins or anything i can do that will help me get through this?? please help
While I don't recommend you stop cold turkey, always better to taper off these meds to reduce the withdrawl, if you must please google the "Thomas recipe" for help in home detox. It includes several home remedy ideas that may be very helpful to you.
I wish you the very best and keep us posted on how it goes,
I agree with both Laurie and Aaron. Yet, this can be done at home. As Laurie said, google The Thomas Recipe for a list of rx and oct meds you may need while in withdrawal. You might also want to google Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome, it will explain in detail what is happening to chemicals in the brain when opiate cessation begins. You may find yourself a bit depressed, if that is so, please see your doc asap, as it is nothing to muck about with.
But everyone is different, you may sail through WD's with no problems!!
There is always the Suboxone or Subutuex route as well, if you are interested in that, you may google Sub docs in your area.
Best wishes, and keep us posted on your progress,
