Hello, what is the difference between percocet and oxycontin? Is one just a generic name?
Also, is oxycontin the same classification as hydrocodone?
percocet and Oxycontin are the same opiate. Hydrocodone is a opiate just weaker then oxycodone.. Oxycodone is the opiate in percocet which is fast acting. Oxycontin is a sustained release oxycodone. So they are the same drug, just one works for a couple hours were the other is supposed to last 12 although 8 hours is really more like it... Dave
