back after 8 months why does citalopram not cure it i had a panic attack now anxiety had returned after the attack should i got back on citalopram not sure what to do plz any advice thanks
Hi, huss! Antidepressants/Anxiolytics don't *cure*, they control the symptoms of the ever-present underlying illness. Occasionally, they can *poop out* after you've taken them for awhile. You need to speak with your doctor about your current symptoms. Sometimes a dosage adjustment can resolve the issue or he/she may advise adding an adjunct medication such as Abilify or Rexulti, etc.
Another good medication for anxiety that you could ask about is Buspar which is designed solely to treat anxiety/panic.
Best of luck to you! Kind regards, Wildcat
