... say I'm really nervous. I'm 55 yo, hep c positive for 15 years and am very thankful to receive these meds! Now that my start date is almost here was looking for any good advice. Anything is helpful, thanks in advance!
First... not to worry... The cure is on the way! Treat your Harvoni with care. Make sure you try take it every day at the same time and Lots of water! I kept a calendar and checked off each day. This way you will not forget to take it! I was told to keep it in the original container and I did the entire time. IF you get a headache, take ibuprofen or tylenol but... if you drink 8 to 10 glasses a day you may not get them. Try hard to eat well and exercise some to keep your energy up because you may deal with some fatigue. but not everyone does! I chose to take my pill in evening and never had issues with sleeping. P Its only 12 weeks and it will over sooner than you think! Just in time for Christmas! Considering what the other treatment was prior to Harvoni this is a Cinch! good luck!
I'm also 55yrs old and went through the 12 weeks of Harvoni treatment as well . In the beginning I got a slight headache for the first two days and after that I had no problems at all . I went to work everyday and wasn't tired or anything . Just stay positive and Harvoni Strong . Good luck and God bless you .
I am on week 8 Only 4 weeks to go. My only problem is diarrhea. This can't compare to the treatment I did in 2002 & 2012. You should be fine. I also mark my calendar right after I take the pill. I have not missed a day of work. Like everyone keeps saying on here drink plenty of water One of my brothers took this the beginning of the year and had no problems at all. He is now Hep C free ! Best of luck to you
