... My breast surgeon was baffled, she didn't know how this could happen because my lymph nodes were clear.and they got all the cancer, it was very small cell. So she said a radical cell must have escaped during partial lumpnectomy. Well now I have it in my ribs, vertebraes, spine, pelvic area, I recently had surgery and had a rod inserted in my femur because I had s fracture that was very painful. Well I guess my question is has anyone else had this and how long did they live with this? So now im having severe lower back pain for about two weeks. I see doc tomorrow and will tell him. Just want to know if anyone else has had bone mets?and also can I take naproxen with oxycodone?
Hello Helen . My name is Sheryl and I've had bone Mets now for five years . One bone met within my clavicle and ended up breaking it twice . I've been on various medications, Three so far. Some aromatase inhibitors such as aromacin and two targeted therapies called Afinitor and I'm now on Ibrace . My breast cancer was interductal carcinoma stage 1, estrogen positive, HER 2 negative. There's quite a few out there that may stop the progression and ease the pain . It's already been proven that acupuncture and radiation if possible can help with the pain. I've been blessed with minor pain so I can take ibuprofen . My heart goes out to you because I too had a very small tumor, lumpectomy, radiation and chemotherapy. Did it all but still it came back as bone mets and in my lymph nodes . My best to you and may you find relief
