I researched your hiccup problem and found out that persistent singultus (the medical term for hiccups) is not very common. Doctors will usually do one of the following: perform gastric lavage (massage) the carotid sinus in the neck-this smust only be done by a health care provider; DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DO AT HOME ON YOUR OWN; or they can prescribe chlorpromazine or baclofen. If these don't work they will in rare instances do a phrenic nerve block since that controls the diaphragm. Hope this infop helps.
