... like a normal person. Several time I have tried to stop taking Prozac, any time I stopped, my depression was backed, I do not have any side effect. I am worried because now I am older and maybe Prozac is harmful for me? I need your advice
I've been taking Prozac since my early 30's n I'm in my late 50's now almost 60 n I'm still alive n doing ok. If you're able to take it n it's working for U, U r fine. Less worry equals less stress ... I know easier said than done. Something We all have to practice on everyday. Just be thankful that you are lucky enough to be taking a medicine that works for U. Instead of having to go through trial & error on regular basics, like so many of Us have to do. If it changes for U n U start having problems taking prozac the doctor will quickly change your prescription to another. I'm glad you've got something that works! God Bless <3
Ive been on prozac since im 20 . now im 48. i feel fine. The only thing is I have hearing loss. I heard a lot of ssri can cause this. but my dr tells me it could also be hereditary so thres no way of knowing. i dont want to get off prozac. ive tried before and then i have ocd /anxiety all over again. so i just hope im not hurting my ears, organs or any other part of my body by taking this so long. It pays to have quality of life though and if you need meds you need it.
