I had cardiac ablation for atrial fib in 2008 which did not work. It returned in a couple months with exercise. In 2010 my Cardiologist referred me to a reknown electrophysiologist/medical school professor at UC San Diego who redid it with his team. They pump adrenaline into your blood to try to duplicate the ahrythmia and burn areas in the heart that produce superflous electical signals. With a skilled team the risk is low.
