It scares me awake. I don't see anyone or hear anyone, just the sounds. These sounds don't occur together.
The knocking is most likely your pulse. Sometimes we hear the carotid artery beating when its real quiet, particularly if you're laying on your side, keeping outside sounds from that ear. I'm not sure what the whistling is, I have it sometimes. Changing position helps me. Its nothing important. The one thing I've noticed is sometimes its my breathing and if I cough and clear any mucous there it will go away.
Is your house haunted??? Sorry, couldn't help it. Are you on any medications or just start any?
This may not be helpful, but i hear sounds like this when i stay at my parents house, in my case, it is the central heating/gas boiler/wind blowing through the windows/general creaking, etc... have you moved house recently?
