I'm Ok, but can it effect my health in the future?
Hi, not really... Ideally you need 8 hours sleep each night. Of course this can vary slightly, but 3 - 5 hours really isn't enough. Short & long term effects are as follow: Sleep deprivation can mean you are more likely to suffer accidents on the road or at work, it affects your cognitive process and ability to recall events, you are more likely to suffer serious health problems, mainly pertaining to the heart... Lack of sleep can cause depression, affect your sex drive, and affect your appearance - skin can suffer. You can also gain weight more easily than if you were to get more sleep.
Is your lack of sleep because of time restriction or because you suffer insomnia?
