I have been getting iritis/uveitis on and off for the last year. Suddenly I have a headache that won't go away. I know that my eye is a little flared up right now (I can tell by the vision), but the headache is scaring me. I am taking Durezol drops for my eye (three per day) and am due to see the doctor in a week (that's the earliest appointment). Should I be worried about this headache?
Yes. The headaches coupled with being in flare and noticed vision changes all signal a time to see the doc sooner rather than later. Be your own best advocate to preserve your sight.
The headaches and the Durezol lead me to believe you're having increased iop. You can't check that from home, but I am a steroid responder. I have to use glaucoma drops every time I use steroid drops to help reduce the risks.
Please go in for a quick iop check every time the headaches persist.
