Hi. I had a stent placed in my right carotid artery almost two weeks ago. While in the hospital, it was determined that I am "Plavix resistant" and was prescribed Brilinta. I've developed severe throbbing headaches. CT scan showed I had a small hemorrhage in my brain but it has not grown in size. I and apparently doctors do not know which is causing the pain. I'm hoping one way or another the pain goes away. Dr. has prescribed Norco for pain. Can anyone comment on my situation?
David yes all sounds good and because the lump is not getting any bigger here is info on the Brilinta which would work with the blood to make sure it does not get any bigger.((((Brilinta (ticagrelor) helps to prevent platelets in your blood from sticking together and forming a blood clot. An unwanted blood clot can occur with certain heart or blood vessel conditions. Brilinta is used to lower your risk of having a stroke or serious heart problems after you have had a heart attack... ))) see it is another type of blood thinner for now and they have given you NORCO to help you with the pain from a headache. so sounds like your pretty well covered for now. remember when you take the first Norco be careful if you have to go out try to just relax and see how it works on you and also becareful getting up and down from a sitting position. Just to make sure you don't fall. its rare but you sure don't need any more problems Hope you start to feel much better soon.
