Hello, I had an appointment w/ a doctor at the hospital in the Neurological/Psychiatric office and she told me that my C.T. Scan showed that I had swelling in my brain and a possible pinched nerve in my neck. I was diagnosed some years ago with Thoracic Kyphosis-Acquired, an abnormal curve of my thoracic spine, could this be causing all this? I was in a serious drunk driving auto accident decades ago as a toddler and she thinks that maybe I am having problems related to that. I have another appt. in January and a appt. with my P.C.P. in December, which is closer now than it was when it was given to me. Any ideas to the causes would be greatly taken.
I have had more concussions than I have fingers and toes and have had my melon split and stapled more than I can remember. I woke up paralyzed on my left side April of 2016. After 28 days in the hospital and 7 MRIs I found out that I have a lesion on my brain probably from a past head trauma. Could you have a lesion on the brain? I sure hope not cuz I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. I have terrible nerve pain and no longer go to pain management and am prescribed gabapentin and it's a huge help! Maybe you can look into that. I hope I was helpful? I am new to this site and hoping to find people who have similar and maybe even the same condition as me. Hang in there. I strongly recommend gabapentin.
