Yes, it has been used to treat anxiety symptoms. Briefly, it blocks the muscarinic responses, so the person experiencing the anxiety, theoretically should not experience as heightened anxiety as was experienced prior to taking the medication. Since this medication is used to treat hypertension, also, so, it is essential that your clinician knows if you are taking some other type and all types of medications to prevent or lessen the opportunities or risks of experiencing hypotension (very low blood pressure).
