My neuropathy comes from getting chemo for colon cancer, then I also received more chemo after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. My last chemo was Dec. 2010 and the neuropathy seems to be getting worse as the months go by. I'm already on a high dose of neurontin and my doctor is already prescribing morphine but it's not strong enough.
Most pain meds will do nothing for nerve pain Ask your doctor to see if you qualify for a trial of a spinal cord stimulator. This is a device implanted under the skin attached to leads that run alongside your spinal cord. The SCS makes a sensation that is more pleasant to your brain than pain and, as such , greatly reduces your nerve pain levels without your taking medication. You do a trial for 3-7 days so you can be certain it works before having it implanted. Also, meds such as Cymbalta, Lyrica and a new one, Savella help reduce the nerve pain.

Yes, have been on it for depression, breast cancer arrived 2014, with the bug C word how do u really know, never was told it had a nerve pain ingredient as well.
60 x 2 a day. Never knew how well it was working until I could not get my script for five days. Wowzee, that won't happen again, and now we are adding gabapentin, hope this helps for me and you.
Yes, back in 2008 or so I was prescribed cymbalta for depression 60mg 1x a day.
2014 breast cancer, mid 2015 primary changed it to 60mg 2x a day. Had to go with out for about five days never was told it had a nerve pain relive in it as well. Trust me this does work, adding gapapentin 3-2017 hopefully to seal the deal on this chronic pain and better sleep.
Stay tunned... cheers!
