my hair loss occurred after i was victimized with chicken pox 2 months ago.prior to that i never suffered from hairloss problems and yes recently i have been undergoing serious stress that triggered my hairfall,on consulting a doctor he handed me with a bottle of minoxidil and some multivitamins and biotin capsules. i am also quite fussy about food. i do not want to use minoxidil however i used it already for 6days and would like to discontinue and opt for natural means.
Do I hav to use minoxidil for the rest of my life if I want to avoid hair loss?

my grandfather is almost bald but my father isnt and my mom has thin hair due to excessive typhoid treatments and menopause.
When you stop using minoxidil whatever hair that has grown will stop growing and thin out again so yes. Your hair pattern usually are passed on through the mother. If your mother or her brothers have thin hair, it is likely you will too.
