I would like to obtain a recommendation for "fake cigarettes" that last for more than a few hours before having to be recharged.
A friend of my sons was using these but I think he was using them mainly because of the laws in AZ-you are not allowed to smoke in public places including bars so this way he could still get his nicotine fix while indoors. They basically are just a "smokeless" cigarette. It gives you a dose of nicotine when you inhale. I suppose if there is a way to reduce the nicotine doseage over time they might work. If not, you are just trading one form of nicotine for another. I, personally, dont have experience with them. I quit cold turkey years ago. it is very difficult but can be done. the hardest is the first few weeks. After about 4-6 weeks, you find others smoke starts to bother you rather than make you want to light up then you know you are on the way! I have not smoked in over 20 years and I still get an occasional craving but it is fleeting and can be squelched easily but what an addiction to still give you cravings after so long! I quit by chewing a lot of gum and staying busy and getting help from nonsmokers in keeping me on track and helping me through the worst of my cravings. i could not be around other smokers much in those first few weeks. Do you have insurance? You might call the customer service number on the back of your card and ask if they have a smoking cessation program. A lot of insurances sponser programs and offer cessation aids and counselling. Good Luck! Quitting smoking is singularly the BEST thing you can do to improve your health!!!
