I have had mine for 2 years and i've gone to the doctor recently and had checked everything out. Everything is good. But it seems that my periods vary, sometimes there light spotting but lately the last 7 months there heavy. I am so uncomfortable! Some advice please or recommendations.
I recommend keeping a record of your weight, pulse, BP (vitals), and your thyroid levels (TSH, T3, T4), whenever you make a Drs visit. Don't miss your yearly physical/pap. Keep track of your changes. I thought it was great, until I experienced hot flashes/night sweats, heart palpitations, EXTREME fatigue (to list a few). I was 3 months away from my 3 year mark. The Drs keep saying your OK, normal, not to worry, and will deny that the Mirena is the cause of all this, but YOU know your body best! I had it removed a week ago, I'm 80% better, but have to follow up with the Endocrinologist in 2 months. I take it one day at a time now, trying to go easy on my heart.
