My dr wanted me to cease Percocet use & try Methadone to manage my severe back/neck pain. I am now experiencing horrible in my shoulders, elbows, knees, bottoms of my feet, hands. It is nearly dibilatating(sp?) Mornings are the absolute worst! Rec'd blood work back; not rhematoid arthritis. Any information would be welcomed. Thank You!
You know what it is, Sunshine? Sorry, that's a stupid thing to say. What it is, is that Percocet works immediately. Methadone tablets do not. I also take 3 10mg a day, and had horrible pain in the beginning, especially in the morning where I could barely move!
Methadone is one of those medications that accumulate in your bloodstream and body. What you need to do is be patient, and then one day, BANG! They will work and work extremely well.
I think it's cruel that your doc took you straight off the Percocet and put you on Methadone. Mine gave me both until the methadone kicked in. Boy, was I loopy though.
Give it time, and write back to me if you want. Take care - Nan
