My dr said thats what I have since for the last 4 years every time the seasons change from winter to spring and summer to fall I end up with bronchitis. We discussed this a few months back between winter and spring when I developed bronchitis. I have never heard of this before. Now I have this again and my doctor isn't on call today and who is covering him told me to simply take plain Robitussin and suck on a Halls drop and wait until Monday. I tried to explain what my dr said I have and he said there is no such thing. I don't know what I am supposed to believe or what to do to get me through the rest of the weekend. I've tried what he said and I'm still coughing so hard I can't sleep.
Don't stress sweetie - It does exist because I was diagnosed with the same thing - but my dr said I had conditional asthma. In effect, every time I get bronchitis or a respitory type infection I get asthma. I moved to Palm springs in 2006 and stopped having the brochitis and conditional asthma (used to get at least 3 to 4 times a yr - seasonal) recently moved back to the valley a yr ago and it has been progressively been getting worse for the past 6 months. I did the Robitussin and halls (Its a very very temp fix at best). The coughing spells are the worse at night. I ended up getting Primetene Mist over the counter which worked on the spot at stopping the coughing spells. What really put me on the road to recovery was getting Cipro antibiotic and Promethazine with codeine cough syrup. Hang in there - you are not alone!
