My mother-in-law got me the number to a place where they help with interventions. I don't know if that's the right way to go. Has anyone ever been a part of one..and what were the results? I'm afraid if the person is already in denial they just might get more defensive and go into a worse binge... thoughts?
Has anyone ever been part of an intervention?

An intervention is where a bunch of your loved ones and friends gather together tell you how much they love you and ask you to get better by going to a rehab facility they usually last anywhere from a month to three months. There you learn about the 12 step program and go to meetings all day which basically works on your addiction and how you can move on with your life and get better. If you are struggling with an addiction you should try it you really dont have anything to lose from there it only gets better cause you wont be using all your money to buy drugs and alcohol anymore. Good luck to you and i hope you make the right decision.
