I am 43 and have been going to a dermatologist since I was 30. I have cystic acne mostly on my chin. Some months are better than others. My doctor suggested accutane today. It sounds really scary but I am getting so depressed about having acne at my age. Not sure if I should jump into something this strong but would love to have lifetime results. Any suggestions?
After reading the med Accutane, it is recommended that you try & seek a second opinion, did you seek advice from the same dermatologist who you have been visiting since the age of 30? Surely something could be available as an substitute, kindly seek a second medical advice, hope this helps? No offence meant to your doc/dermatologist., whatsoever.
I 100% agree with giving Proactiv a shot. Its so popular and such a huge money maker because it actually works on the majority of patients who try it. Follow the steps to the T and not only will your chin clear up, your skin will be healthy as opposed to other harsh acne meds.
