My hepatitis c (genotype Ia) and cirrhosis
was diagnosed in 2011. I just visited my
gastro guy to check on Harvoni. He told me
that Harvoni was not indicated if the hep-c
patient had ever had "fluid". I must admit I
was confused and did not ask very good
questions after that "fluid" statement.

I currently at 5 rt 10 in and weigh 130 lbs.
I am sure have some extracellular fluid, but
I doubt I could have a current diagnosis of
edema or ascites.

I cannot find this "fluid" condition in the
prescribing information. I do not have a
copy of the medical insert in each Harvoni box.

Taking a prescribing medicine outside the
prescribing information gives the insurer to
the tight to deny the claim.
