So Sorry to hear of all your issues with HepC. HARVONI is a miracle medication. Please don't be afraid to take it! Previous treatments have been nasty to be sure. But HARVONI is nothing like that. In the beginning you may deal with headaches and fatigue. If you drink a lot of water the headaches will disappear. Taking the meditation in the evening will help you sleep better. I was stage 3 and after 1 month, I was Undetected, after 6 months I went to stage 2 1/2! I recently met someone with issues like you are experiencing, stage 4 and he is now HepC free and is doing so much better! Like I said it a miracle! Good luck!
My side effects were a headache for the first week. I get really sleepy about a hour after I take my med. I am on Epclusa, it is made by the same company as Harvoni. My insurance company would not approve Harvoni. From what I understand Epclusa treats all Genotypes of hep C. I am on week number 5 of the 12 weeks I will be treated. I don't have very many headaches like I was having. Every now and then I still get one which could be from something else other than Epclusa. I have a lot of hot flashes I was not having before starting this med. I also have a very red color to my skin. At first I thought I was sunburned, but I still get the red color to my skin without going in the sun.
Just jump in its over in 12 Wks I am super happy haven't felt this good in years

Thanks for encouragement. I have suffered w severe bloating & gas& reflux this wk. I'm learning to treat my symptoms & had my best day today as I complete 3 wks. My clarity has improved & chronic fatigue beginning to ease . I'm beginning to believe !
Congrats to a good day! There will be more! Try eating " clean" avoid dairy products if you haven't already. Helps cut down bloating. Try soy, almond milk instead. HARVONI... It's a new lease on life so treat your body with a new prospective by eating, exercising and avoiding negative people!
cureforsure15, glad to hear that, I was told yesterday I was stage 3 and due to start harvoni soon, I am somewhat worried. thanks for sharing... Anyone else out there stage 3 and taking harvoni?
Cureforsure15, so you were stage three and now two and a half? That is great to know, since I am stage three. Congratulations! I just started March 4th so I have a ways to go. I love the success stories.
I am stage f4 cirrhosis and just started taking harvoni a week ago. Have had headaches and bloating. Drinking more water today and no dairy I hope will help. Thanks for everyone sharing your experiences so I can learn things to try
Just wanted to update everyone. As of this past February 2017 I continue to be Free of HepC! My last tests were completely clear of any damage whatsoever! Harvoni is simply Amazing. However I still have Cryoglobulinemia, a immune disorder that I developed through HepC. Hoping that It too will be cured as well eventually! Good luck to you all!
Cureforsure15, that is awesome, I am stage three and really concerned. Hopefully I will eventually not show liver damage. How long did it take?
I take last pill on April 28th, no viral load detected at 1 month.
Waller13, My first two weeks side effects were minimal, dizzy first two days and a little tired but, I was tired before treatment from Hep C. Will complete treatment on April 28th and am feeling really good. Your headed in the right direction and will be so glad you did this. Hang in there, God Bless.
I was on Harvoni for 24 weeks & the virus was gone almost from the 1st month. I was finished in July of 15. I then saw my GI doctor at HUP in February 16 and they did a "A liver scan" ( yes no more dangerous liver biopsys) and saw no damage to my liver! Now a year later I continue to be cured!
Cureforsure 15. That is great news. I'm not so scared now. Thank you
