... was not compatable. After that I didnt hear anything my head and heart just stopped. Does anyone have any info on this? What do I do now? My dr doesnt seem as concerned since im not able to take the treatment. I also have diabetes 2 and rheumatoid arthrtis. I was diagnosed in 2009. I am sooo tired and my liver has been swelling up it looks like an alien is trying to get out, very painful.
I'm a little surprised your prescribing Doctor didn't know that: "Harvoni is indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C (CHC) genotype 1 infection in adults."
Your Liver is not swelling from damage and Liver pain is rare. The Spleen can be painful, the Liver tender and the gallbladder painful. An expanding stomach is most likely ascites.
What you do now is see a Liver doctor and ask which is the most appropriate treatment regime for you. I take it you are a type 3? Some of the existing therapies are excellent for type 3 but not type 1 (I'm 1ab)
If your doctor did not know what genotype you were Prior to setting you up with HARVONI ... something is not right... HARVONI is specifically for Genotype 1a and 1b!!! Seriously I think it is Time for a new GI doctor!! And ... Do not dismay, there's help for other genotypes as well, hang in there!
