If harvoni doesnt work will i have a shorter life span? This is the first time ive ever been treated for my hep c
If this is ur 1st treatment for Hep C, Harvoni has a 98% success rate. I am 41 and have completed my 8 wk treatment and am Hep C free!! The only sage advise I can give you is to DRINK PLENTY OF WATER. I personally had to drink 5/6 20oz bottles of water a day, even after completing treatment. I would contine on the water regimen for a few wks. Harvoni is a very strong medication. It does the job be sure of that lol. But it will also dehydrate u like crazy. Take it easy ur 1st wk while ur system adjusts and drink water, water, water! This helps so much to keep the medication in ur system flowing. It should be like taking a vitamin after u get it introduced into ur system. Good luck on ur journey and please keep us posted!
Karen, I am in my fourth week too. First week was easy then at times headaches and liver pain started. Although I mostly have really good days on this med. Water intake is very important... but I was drinking so much I was depleting met electrolytes... and started having leg cramps, it is a balancing act for sure. I go today to have my blood drawn for my first testing since starting! I am hopeful!
I to have just starting taking Harvoni . I'm new to the support . I'm on day 10 and have not noticed much side affects except insomnia . I've been following a lot of the others suggestions of plenty of water . I work the graveyard shift and find it hard to get the rest I need. I take mine in the morning when i get home . So far so good . I just pray that I / we all can beat this. I've been worried because I don't have really any of the side effects . Pray it's working.
