I had a Ct scan and Dr. said I had an unusual hiatal hernia and half of my stomach was above my diaphragm!
I've recently been diagnosed with a sliding hiatus hernia! Endoscopy completed which shows 3cm hernia higher up on oesophagus than usually expected (sounds similar to yours quite high above the diaphragm) I struggle to eat/drink daily without choking not to mention the times sometimes gasp for air during an acid reflux! I'm quite often fobbed off by GP/consultant who act like these type of symptoms are 'unheard of' yet after doing alot of research I've come to realise these symptoms are actually more common that highlighted. All the medicine taken so far is crap such as ranitidin, omeprozile, lanzoprozole etc. How do you cope with your hernia (just out of interest)
