Been on Xarelto for 3 months. Due to dvt/pe. Hair loss horrible. Dr did usual tests. Insignificant. Called Jannsen and reported. Acted like they'd never heard it before. I saw all blogs about it. And how others reported it to. I told them to research problem... Does it grow back?
This question has also been asked and answered here: Does Xarelto cause hair loss?
After checking the list of possible side effects, hair loss is not listed nor mentioned.
Hi Ze, I had a massive Bileteral PE and DVT in April 2015 but had started losing hair a few months before that. I felt so horrible & fatigued at the age of 35 that hair was the least of my concern. I had always had a full, strong healthy long hair so at first I didn't think it was a big deal. When I returned to work I realized how bad it had gotten.
I've been on Xarelto since the PE and for the last few months, I've had so much hair growth... It's amazing! Well, it's hard to control all the baby hair now but not a bad problem to have after having lost so much! I'm really convinced that I lost a lot of hair due to the stress on my body from no oxygen in the blood for so long, consistently super low blood pressure, sleep apnea etc. Now, that I'm finally recovering, it's getting so much better.
