I have just become an auntie for the first time! My sister gave birth this afternoon to a little boy - Harrison James - 8lb 9oz. She was in labor for 24 hours and eventually had a caesarian at lunchtime today. Sorry, i know this isn't a question but wanted to share the joy! : )

Thanks guys : ) Am visiting them today, wasn't allowed yesterday. Going out to buy cards, flowers, chocolates, magazines....now!
Congrats! I had so much fun with my nephews before my own children were born that I felt almost like they were my first babies! I was a part time mom to my oldest nephew. We all kind of raised him because his parents both worked a lot. I hope you have the same kind of joy with your nephew! It sure puts a new perspective on motherhood, helping you to understand that it is not the easiest job in the world but it sure has a lot of wonderful benefits too!
Congratulations, I'm so happy for you! that was definitely a big baby, and I'm glad everything went well. 24 hours is a long time to be in labor. Now you get to share the joy of a new baby and get to spoil them rotten as they grow! Again, congratulations and I wish you love and joy for your nephew!
Dear Delila, Hey girl. I can only imagine how thrilled you must be. To hold a brand new little human being for the first time, knowing you're the Aunt. Can you image hearing Aunt Delila, or Aunt De. Or whatever. Anytime you have a new baby is borne into the family and is related to you in some way, is very special indeed. I agree with DzooBaby. Love the name. give him a little kissy on the cheek for me. You're Friend Ruthie
