What is a good drug to take to lower high blood pressure with little side effects?

You could get a million different answers to that. They all have side effects for some people. I take nadolol and amlodipine, and have no side effects, but others would. All you can do is have your dr change you around until you find one you can tolerate.

Hi lawarrent1,
You may want to list any meds that you've taken with side effects, which they ALL have, as kaismama has indicated, but a list of what you've tried would better equip us to help answer your query.

I've heard that the Catapres (sp?) patch is a good choice for some people.
Wishing you good health and lower BP!

P.S. Clonidine is the generic for Catapres, just fyi.
