- pain, weight, doctor, kidney, liver, abdominal pain, hospital
he has lost weight, for the passed year he has been in hospital in and out all Doctors don't seem to know what this is they have done scans on his liver and kidneys also it seems to be normal he has been referred from specialist to specialist with to improvement, he has to put pressure always on the right hand-side of his lower abdomen for the pain to subside and he was even put on unfit to work because of this. i need help what other tests should he undergo and his 57 years old.
There mus be a competent Dr you can find to help you with this, there are some out there who know the usual tests are often no enough. The medical community is required to know what testing has yet to be done to find the cause and get him relief. Be vigilant!
Have they scanned his whole abdomen or just kidneys ? I'm just wondering how narrow the scan was. Has he had a colonoscopy? If not that would be what I'd ask for next.
The other thing that comes to mind is have his hips been scanned? Sometimes a problem with the hip joint can cause pain to radiate into the belly. Has he been checked for a hernia? Any signs of infection anywhere? Wondering about lymph nodes in that area.
