... days ago..how long will it take for the medication to work... checked my my blood sugar level ..marked 400..went the hospital and 15 units of insulin where passed... Will my body adjust to my treatment/medication?
There is much more to managing diabetes then medication. You should be seeing it come down gradually now. But you have to watch your diet, get exercise, and drink allot of fluid. Its not just cutting sugar either. Your best bet is to find a diabetes class to learn about it and a nutrition class to learn what diet. Allot of community hospitals have these classes.
