Will a glass of wine reduce the effect of my antibiotic?

Alcohol use during antibiotic therapy is definitely discouraged. If you can limit yourself to one glass, then I do not personally think your therapy will suffer. The general danger of combining alcohol with drugs is alcohol competes with metabolism in the liver, so in a way you are backing up your liver which is trying to process both the antibiotic and the alcohol, and yes this can reduce the effectiveness of the antibiotic treatment. free discount card
