It can be used for children, but you should not give your child anything not prescribed for him. He would need a different dose.
Try giving him sips of schweppes ginger ale, ginger root helps nausea, about every 15 min. Don't give him more then an ounce at a time. Don't give him anything to eat for a about 4hrs, just the gingerale. Then you can introduce things like pedialyte for hydration, in small quantities, and toast. Take it easy on his stomach. There is also an otc called emetrol that helps with nausea. Its peppermint oil.
