He's not sure what my issue is other than I have inflammation in a section of my colon. I've had colon cancer and a colostomy with reversal last year. The beginning of this year I had surgery for internal bleeding. I don't think I have Crohns or Colitis - but I'm not a doctor.
My GI doctor prescribed Apriso which I start in 2 days. Will it help with the inflammation?

Yes, it should. Apriso (mesalamine) is in a class of medications called anti-inflammatory agents. It works by stopping the body from producing an inflammatory chemical in the intestines called prostaglandin that causes inflammation. Mesalamine is used to treat mild to moderate ulcerative colitis and is also used to prevent the symptoms of ulcerative colitis from recurring.
