With the patent expiring in 3 weeks, I STILL NEED TO KNOW WHEN A GENERIC/CHEAPER VERSION WILL BE AVAILABLE!!! It is urgent--because I am in the Medicare "doughnut hole."
Hello klahr123. I understand now reading your follow up comment. Just guessing, thinking out loud, but wouldn't the FDA certainly know of the company and name of the generic, thats going to be available. (if it is?) Would it be possible that no one certain company has done any lab work of thier own, which I seriously doubt, in creating the generic to plavix. So, my answer would be to contact the FDA. Thats about the best I can say, I'm not into pharmaciticals and thier patents, don't really know enough on thier, rules, regulations.best wishes to you,
My grandmother is on a fixed income. she has Medicare her copay is still to much. She is considering having to stop taking Plavix because she can not afford paying for it. her last stroke was January 9th, 2012. I feel if she stops the medication she will have more strokes. we have heard for the last 2 years that the patin had been lifted and the generic version will be available this month. Please shed some lite on this!

Is there another drug similar to Urelle or is there a generic? Medicare Part D doesn't cover Urelle?
