I have have been taking Januvia for over a year and the pills are a round beige colored, but I just had the prescription refilled again and this time,I got some big oval white pills that are stamped 574 on one side and can't tell what is on the other side, a D or half moon, something that I can't figure out what it is, Maybe a logo? The prescription bottle says it is a generic Januvia. Does anyone know what this is?
Januvia is manufactured by Merck & Co, Inc. It is currently under the protection of a patent that prevents any generic Januvia from being manufactured in the United States.
The first patent for Januvia currently expires in 2017. This is the earliest that a generic version of Januvia could become available.
Please be sure that you get the right med, please take care, best wishes!
