... attacks. its destroyed a lot of my life, anybody else like this?
There are so many others on this site that share your disorder! You are not alone, so never think that.
This is a great site, the members make it great, giving kind support and good advice for all. You are now a member, and welcome, too!
I do want to tell you one thing, I have, in the past, suffered some pretty horrific panic attacks, but I rarely have one now, in fact it's been a long time!
So, there IS some good news, maybe yours will go away with the right medication or maybe they will just go away for good!
Hope you enjoy this site, it's been a Godsend for me!
I know exactly how you feel. I no longer can go anywhere without my husband and even then I experience such extreme anxiety it is not comfortable at all.
I guess I am lucky in that I live in the country and we have a large yard with no neighbors near by. If I lived in a town or city I would not be able to go outside. I have had several panic attacks when away from the house so now I don't want to go anywhere.
You are definitely not alone.
Yes, you are not alone. It is a life changer. I did not realize how many of us have this disorder until I found this site. I felt alone and confused. I used to be outgoing and social. Now I rarely leave my house and only if I have to. Finding the right meds will help. It is trial and error with the meds, but do not give up. I am still working on finding the right combo that will work.
You will find friends and others who share your struggle with support and kindness.
My thoughts are with you.
Hi Candy. Welcome to drugs.com. Now you belong to a big family.
Yes, I have the same problems that you and a lot of our friends do. Ask your Dr. what med you might be able to take as soon as u start to feel an anxiety attack or panic attack coming on. That's the best I can offer. There's so many meds you can take for these disorders. Truthfully, the only way I can get through these illnesses is with medicine. Gabapentin and Klonopin are a good combination for me, but your doc is the one to talk to about what he wants to do. Have you discussed this with him/her yet?
Stay in touch and about this, plz.
Take care, my new friend Candy.
Sorry to hear you are suffering like so many of us. I have had anxiety and panic attacks for years. I am still searching for the right med combo for my latest flair up of anxiety/depression. I know it is out there. I'm not going to stop looking. I am tired of missing so many things.
I hope you find relief quickly and are able to resume to "normal" very soon! I definitely know how you feel.
