Is your doc a shrink? If not, go to a qualified psychiatrist. If so, get a new shrink. I was on very similar meds, and started feeling better in two weeks. We are all different, but by nine weeks, you should b starting to feel better. Ask about Cymbalta and gabapentin. Closely related to the meds u r on, that's what I took for years, worked great til it didn't after ten years. Seek out mental health clinics or crisis centers. They can help u.
Been there, done that
Hope you start getting the proper care, soon.
Peace and Easter eggs,
I took effexor for several years and
it worked well for me but it did take
a long time to start working. I wouldnt
take it again because coming off was
hard and if I forgot a dose I felt terrible.
I am on zoloft now and doing really well.
I also take a mood stabilizer (neurontin)
which helps with anxiety and sleep.
Hopefully you will get some relief soon.
I agree you need to be seeing a
psychiatrist since they specialize in
these meds and their side effects.
Hope you feel better soon,
