Why is there gel left in the patch after 24 hours?

Its just the gel the medicine was in. It will always be there.

Actually, I don't think what's left is gel without medication. If the patches are the same as mint (Androderm 2.5mg) they have a 12.2mg of testosterone in them but only deliver 2.5 mg. What happens ins, as the day goes on, your skin becomes less absorbent so the concentration of testosterone in the patch must stay high to continue to deliver testosterone through your skin.

This effect useful because it can be used to mimic your natural cycle for testosterone which would normally peek about the time you get up. If you apply the patches at 1-pm, the skin is initial very absorbent and level build up through the night. After a while though this slows down. And so you reach a peak at 5-6am.
