he wants me to cease all pain medication, well thats all good and well for him,he doesn't feel like he's been beaten within an inch of his life with a 9 iron golf stick. What is one to do when your in constant pain.:-(.
Hi raels how are ya? Not to good it sounds like huh? I am so sorry to hear that you have M.S. i was dating a girl last yr that had ended our relationship due to her having M.S. i would love to ask you a personal Q if you don't mind? Thank you and God Bless! Your new friend Mickey from chicago..
Perhaps get a new doctor? If this neuro has no sympathy for your pain, then PLEASE CHUCK THIS poor excuse for a human being???
Unbelievable! You should be able to choose what med you want at this point!
It never ceases to amaze me at what some doctor's will do to a patient!!
Find a good doc with a sense of empathy!!
I wish you all the luck in the world, and please keep us posted?
Find a new doctor-I had to ditch a lunatic this spring, and she's still haunting me. She put stuff in my records, and my new doctor realizes that she never prescribed what my chart said-because I don't have any of those problems, but it's affecting me in other ways-other clinics.
Try not to upset this doctor, but be firm, and start trying to find a new doctor that not closely associated with him.
I personally think that each doctor should be pushed off a ladder, attacked by dogs, and have to work as a brick layer for a year, so they can understand pain and chronic conditions. My X-husband had a different plan-he threatened to kill some-especially when I was given a med that put me in convulsions
I have these two conditions also so I feel for you, I would try to find another doctor, because it is so important to feel comfortable with your doctor and trust what he or she is doing for you and to know that they are doing there best for you. Stress is not a good thing and can cause you more problems and it is not worth it, sometimes just talking to the doctor can wake them up and change the way they treat you. Maybe it is worth a try just telling your doctor how you really feel about stopping the pain medications and how he made you feel after you left the office.

Are you having problems with your kidneys that he wants you to stop pain meds. Be careful if you get over the counter pain meds, make sure you can and it will not hurt you in any other way with your treatment..
And going of the subject:
Dont drs understand that when you need to see them, there is a reason, and if he has been your dr for a while and know your history he can always get you a refill or call in a new med for your pain to help until your nx apt..I have worked in the medical field, and this is our policy, if you can not wait then go to ur nearest emergency rm.
This happen 2 me a while back n I had a hard time with the nurse, but i told her she better tell him bcause the pharmacist was going to call within the nx hr. I got my meds... Know remember you need to tell the secretary ur problem n to tell ur dr, the pharmacist will call the office not the office call in ur prescription is easier for the dr.
