... jolivette a few days after he prescribed it. He didn't tell me when I should start taking it. I was told by family friends to taking when I start my first period. I've been having unprotected sex also, and I didn't start my period yet..please help. What should I do? And what should I tell my doctor?
You can start it like that. The big thing with these pills is to take them at the same time every day. You were protected after you were on them for 48hrs. Your period is going to be a little erratic with them. Did you have one after the baby? Keep taking your pills, You just keep taking them all the time, when one pack is empty you start another the next day. Any time you take one 3 or more hrs late you should use a condom for 2 days. Birth control pills come with a paper that tells you about them and how to take them, the next time you get your pills filled read it.
